A Lovely Meal, I just 'Invented'

Dear All,

I just 'Invented' a Lovely Meal, and thought that I'd Pass It On.

I had some Chicken Breasts, in my fridge, that needed Using Up. I therefore put them in a, fairly hot, oven about 180C and covered the Dish with Foil (Having first Oiled the dish).. After about Forty minutes, or so, I unwrapped the chicken and saw that it was 'Going A Bit Dry'. I made up, about half a pint- or so- of Vegetable Stock and poured it over the chicken. On a 'Whim' I gently Poured Over, about quarter of a Desert Spoon (or so), of Black Treacle and sprinkled on some Dried Rosemary. I Basted and Turned the Chicken, in the mixture and returned it to the oven. Basting, once more, I gave it about another twenty minutes- still covered in the foil.

The Result was Beautiful, a lovely Mixture of flavours, and the Chicken was really Tender too. I think next time, and there Will be one, I will Push The Rosemary into the Chicken.... and maybe add a bit more fluid.

Definitely one to 'Try ', does anyone else have some 'Accidental' Recipes?

Good morning Andrew that's amazing black treacle, I get froazern mini chicken fillets I don't often have a chicken as we can't eat the leg meat, pixie likes it tho 😸🐆I used to be a cook and I would cook all meat in bit of water and out tin foil over the cooking tray dish and it screate stem which stops it from drying out the elderly residents couldn't chew very well but they could my meat it may help to stop it drying out so much when it's cold but that sure is a great recipie, just off back to land of nod hopefully we'll least I've had 4 half hours sleep 🤯xx

Hey I've never heard of chicken marinated in black treacle before Andrew so nice one. My meals are variations on a theme so if it works that really nice.
