Low Fibre Diet

Hello I’ve not posted on here for some time. A few month ago I was diagnosed with Cancer. I am undergoing radiotherapy and low dose of chemo. I have been asked to reduce my fibre intake as much as I can. This goes well against the grain but naturally I want to do what ever helps. It means next to no veg, salads are out, fresh fruit is out and I’ve had to revert to white bread, pasta and rice. I also have to keep away from spices. My whole diet has turned upside down and it’s so hard. If anyone has experienced this and has any tips I’d be most grateful. I am trying to use more herbs for flavouring.

And cut out the carbs, cancer cells can not run on glucose or fat in the normal way but only ferments glucose instead, so by denying it glucose you'll slow its growth and weaken the cancer so that your innate imune system can fight it.

Hello I’m not sure what I’d be left with if I cut out carbs? I was on a low carb diet though for quite some time before this.

I had to do this for my ileostomy. I felt like they put me on the chicken nugget and french fries diet lol. Thankfully it’s only for a short while and I’m now back to eating all the veggies. So here’s what I did. I used it as an excuse to eat the not so good for me stuff that I normally don’t I.e. chicken nuggets and fries 🍟 You’re going through something, be kind to yourself and have a treat 🍬 You can have veggies but they have to be cooked into mush and no skin, seed, etc. That’s to much work, it’s easier to dump everything in a pot and make broth and then strain it drink it or add chicken and veggie pasta. Just make sure they’re low fiber noodles. seafood is easy to digest. Shrimp has nearly 0 fiber, again, treat yourself have a shrimp cocktail or salmon with rice cooked in the broth you made. Eggs, I ate so many eggs 🥚 egg salad sandwiches, deviled eggs, etc. peanut butter and jelly. Just remember to be kind to yourself, it’s only temporary.

Thank you so much this is such an encouragement to me. We had pasta last night with condensed soup which was ok. tonight’s its cottage pie mine without onion and I may have a small amount of carrot. I’m trying to walk around the estate each day to keep my physical self active. It’s not far but if I do it each day I’m hoping it will help me with my weight. thank you.
