Hi,.....It doesn't help with all these cookery programmes making puddings, Black Forest Gateau and so much naughty stuff. They look so smilingly (with their huge bank account) and as they hold the cake up, they say......"looks great.....tastes wonderful". Well, that's your tongue and eyes sorted then. So what about your heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, eyes, blood, brain, skin, muscles etc etc. Not a milligram of help there.
To think you have to go on a diet, is to think you are leaving on a long journey to a painful place, so don't think of dieting. Look on your new foods with the fuel they contain to keep your body in proper working order. Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, try chicken, eggs, beef, nuts, organic veg where possible, fish, healthy carbohydrates, Fruit, but low in sugar.
Don't think of just reducing excess body fat, think of the health of your whole body and it's activity. That isn't a diet, it's your new way of life. If you want to drive a long journey in the car, you fill it up with petrol, not lucozade........food is fuel for your body, not a cheer me up for low times. Best of luck, prove to yourself you can do it.
Very wise words yes I’m going to look at it as healthy living and healthy lifestyle change. I’m going to allow myself a treat now and then but see food as fuel like you said great analogy. Thank you for your wise words and encouragement just what I needed
