I’ve decided to part with my car now the sun’s made its appearance and reacquaint myself with my walking shoes and local bus stop.
The 10 minute walk to the bus stop quickly hastened to a sprint I might add when I saw it appear behind the corner should help in me dropping the pounds. I’ll save pounds too as I’ll no longer have give the petrol station attendant that weekly £60 or so for petrol. I’ll also not have the opportunity to pick up that snack or 2 or 3 as I pay for petrol.
Funny thing is it’s only one bus needed to get to work - sure it’s a longer journey cos it does go round the houses a lot but as I sat in my seat turning each page of the book I was reading which I had bought early this year I had a sense of pride.... I walked today? I’m taking the bus? Me? Yes you, well done. Bloody feet are killing me though 😫😫😫

Well done and you will feel so much better for it. Small steps go a long way to bigger changes.
Well good for you MissAzzee and with your attitude its win win as you can dress for the weather and enjoy the outdoors regardless.
And I'll bet that the 10 mins walk home from the bus stop will help you unwind after work so may be its win win win...😊
Thanks Jerry, my poor car must think I’ve deserted it but the sun’s out and I’m enjoying walking. Even feet are getting used to it and aren’t complaining as much.
Thanks Zest, who knew walking could be so therapeutic too. If I time leaving home right I can think and plan my day ahead in a stress free way. It’s early days but I’m loving it so far.
Thanks Geronimo, it’s getting easier and as I hear the moans and groans from my car as I pass it on I continue to smile heading for the bus stop as I do. Sooner the car goes the better ......, for the both of us.
