on the course of antidepressant meds

Hi. I’m wondering if anyone here’s on antidepressants meds? I know this meds makes someone gain couple of pounds. I recently started SSRI meds for anxiety and depression.

Once source issues (roots of anxiety & depression) are identified/ addressed & actions are taken, any gained weight [& use of (need? for) antidepressants] can diminish. [Merely layman’s opinion.]
