Hi just wondering if anyone ever had to deal with Hp Pylori and what you did to kill the bacteria. I continually burp and have bad flatulence. I was diagnosed as carrying this bacteria by a breath test. I am also frequently having stomach pains. Took 2 walks if antibiotics. I don’t think it worked as I still have the issue. Please help.

I had a course of antibiotics that got rid of it - and verified with a stool test.
I think lots of things beside h. pylori could be causing the symptoms you describe, so probably one for your GP.

One of the big issues is that the stuff we take to help some stomach issues can cause other stomach issues.
Have you been re-tested to see if the h. Pylori are still there, or are you just going by symptoms?
Part of your problem could be that you've killed off all the good bacteria in your gut, which means you're not digesting properly anymore. This leads to flatulence, bloating and stomach pain. Eating a good variety of veg and taking some probiotics may help
I am taking probiotics (capsule form) and yogurt. Also eating good vegetables. I will be retested in two wks. Don’t want to take antibiotics again. I was hoping someone may have an alternative therapy they did and were successful.
My daughter had Pylori, antibiotics worked for her. Maybe you need to try a different kind of antibiotic? You have to be careful with antibiotics your system can develop immune to them?
This is what I tried.
H- Pylori treatment ------ first off get an H-Pylori test from DR.
1.Cut out all sugar and flour, etc (simple refined carbs)
and alcohol.
2.Eat lots of broccoli – (at every meal if possible)
3.Sip on bone broth
4.Sip on Ginger tea
5.Eat probiotic sauerkraut - organic
6.Take 2 Mastic Gum capsules in AM and 2 at bedtime.
7.Drink Kefir at lunch and take a probiotic with Sacharomyces boulardi and lactobacillus strains
8.Drink lots of water if you have an acid stomach to reduce acid
9.Sip on a ½ tsp baking soda dissolved in ½ glass of water if necessary to temporarily ease discomfort
10.Do all this until you feel better.
11.Continue with the mastic gum gradually reducing to 1 per day after about 6 weeks. The discontinue after 2 months total if healed.
The mastic gum is available online. It comes in 500 mg capsules. I used Jarrow brand. Others are available. It is expensive. I probably spent about $300.00 in extra supplements over 6 weeks. I got kefir grains from a lady in town and made my own kefir every day and still drink it every day. It is most important to change your diet. Once you have it, you will get it again if you go back to bad eating habits.
This worked for me. Good luck!
My symptoms were gone and I felt good after about 3 weeks. I continued with the mastic gum but reduced it gradually to 2 a day then 1 a day. The bloating, gas, indigestion and burning pain all went away. I did get another milder bout after I discontinued the kefir and started eating sugar (it was Christmas). I switched back to no sugar, alcohol, probiotics and 2 mastic gum per day for about 3 wks and all has been well since with no symptoms. Even healthy people have some h- pylori bacteria in their gut but it is the over run that becomes a problem. I am not taking any supplements now but I still try to eat healthy and eat probiotic foods.
Is there any reason why you don't want to take the course of antibiotics? Ive always had stomach issues, but I had a internal stomach bleed about 3 years ago, and was given a course of antibiotics for the h pylori as a precautionary measure, but I'm now on omeprazole for lifelong use, even now I sometimes get the occasional day of acid reflux, but its very rare, and if it's to bad I just take a extra tablet, I'm on a low manageable dose 20mg daily, but I rather it be under control than it perhaps causing a stomach bleed, I can't comment about the natural cures but if they work thats great, there is a down side with long term omeprazole or something similar as it can affect B12 deficiency, I seem to remember being tried once before on the course of antibiotics as i had terrible side effects, ended up with the runs, and couldn't complete the course, it's a fine balancing act, definitely avoid smoking and alcohol as they irritate the bowel,I understand how you feel health wise, the burping, the gnawing pain, which comes in wave like sensations, not nice, and sometimes medical assistance is the best way forward, I hope you feel better soon, best wishes.
