Have you talked to your son’s doctor about changing his diet/exercise plan?

Thank you for letting us know that. When do you have an appointment with the dietitian (once they get to your name on the list)?

• in reply toActivity2004

yes, I have been waiting for them to get back to me

How long has it been since being put on the list? If you don’t hear back from the office in the next few days, give them a call and see what they can do. Please let us know what you find out.

I will definately contact again, thank you for useful advice!

Are you sure you ant to "fatten" him up? That would be unhealthy as he may just have a fast metabolism and it could raise his blood trigycerides and cholesterol. Maybe he's not doing enough resistance exercise to build up muscle or maybe he's not getting sufficient nutrition. Trying to fatten him up may just cause him to get fat on the inside while staying thin on the outside (TOFI) which is unhealthy.

he is very skinny but I value what you are saying and think about building his muscle - thanks

Not sure agree. Is this Dr Eric Berg ? What if a person is skinny all his life then gained weight, say 10 or 15 pounds, all on belly. But have No diabetes ??

If a person puts weight on predominantly on the belly then it's likely that a lot of it could be inflammation due to consuming seed oils as well as foods like processed carbohydrates.

Dont want to argue. But inflammation is not belly fat. Inflamation is internal swelling, very little.

Unfortunately it's a scientific fact. You've heard of a beer belly (due to the inflammation caused by alcohol) well try googling 'wheat belly' or 'sugar belly'

Could be related to medications too, steroids, especially prednisolone are known (and hated) for it.
