It's National allotment week 🍐 🌞 🥕

Good morning everyone, it's national allotment week this week so if any of our keen gardeners allotment owners want to post photo's of their crops or their allotments veg patch then please do as growing your own fruit and veg is such a great thing to do.

Morning Hidden

I think it is great to have home-grown produce in the garden, or allotment, or field etc - I have apples in my garden, and I am looking forward to sampling them soon. One of my friends has her own allotment, and I remember when I went for a meal at her house, and we walked to the allotment to pick fresh fruit and vegetables for that meal - it was really great to see what can be grown - and even more special to enjoy it that way.

I've tried to grow tomatoes and chilli peppers in a greenhouse a couple of times, but I don't think I have 'green fingers' - I do like putting a pot of herbs on the window-sill though, and watching that grow.

Looking forward to seeing people's photos of their own crops/allotments/veggies/fruits/herbs.

Good morning Zest , I've seen your apples and they looked really good. Going to your friends allotment to pick fresh fruit and veg for a meal sounds perfect to me fresh and organic so I bet it was a very tasty meal.

I've some chillies flowering in a pot and baby tomatoes in my flower bed and I'm hoping for a much bigger veg patch for next year.
