Hi all
I have had a really bad week at work. Been harrassed and bullied by a member of my staff. I have not reached for comfort food. But i have not seen the scales go up or down in 3 weeks. This has been going on since jan.

Hi SMITHYC
I'm just going to bed, but saw your post - and I'm so sorry to hear you've had a stressful week at work. I wonder if you can seek support from your work, with regard to the harassment and bullying as that's not right that you are receiving that behaviour from someone. I hope you're able to relax for the weekend, and I hope you'll get some support to deal with the bully - I hope there is perhaps a policy about bullying and harassment in your work-place. I hope you can talk to someone about this who will be supportive.
Take care,
Zest
So sorry to hear about this person at work, how horrid for you. Your organisation must support you. Is there any bullying policy at work? Can you talk to a manager ? PM me if you want. Hope you get some rest to night
The work situation is tough and I hope you can get it sorted. Bullies are a blight. But please be proud that you've resisted comfort eating... and if you are trying to lose weight, that you are not putting it on. If you are under stress and not sleeping, your hormones are likely affected. So honestly, you are doing well with the hand you've been dealt right now.
Hi SMITHYC, firstly I'm very sorry especially as this has been going on since Jan.
Have you tried ignoring this person because if you don't appear to respond they will give up as you have to interact to feel bullied. So if you can put on a brave face on and say I expected that smiling, it could turn things around.
Bullies are the ones with the problem it's up to us not to let them make it our problem so try and be strong with them and they will soon back off.
Good luck with this.
Jerry 😊
It’s very difficult when I have contact with him daily. I am his manager but it doesn’t stop the harassment. I have had to involve my union. The first time after being a member for 35 years.
I am sorry and think bringing the union in is the best thing as surely if you are his manager he should be respectful to you.
I'm sorry you've had such an awful time at work recently - I hope HR will offer you some better support soon.
Stress can make it hard for the scales to shift, despite our best efforts. I've heard suggestions that things like yoga or meditation can help, if it would interest you at all.
Never got into meditation. Wouldn’t know where to start.
