60+Divorced lady feeling lonely.

I'm New here so here goes.

This week I joined a Nordic walking group, which lifted my spirits and made me feel quite positive. Chatting while walking I didn't realize how far we had gone. The group meet-up once a month, which leaves quite a bit of time/days to try to think of other things that I would enjoy to do. I also enjoy photography especially taking pictures of Urban art, iconic buildings in London, and Wildlife. Is there anyone else interested the community interested in similar hobbies. Keen on arranging outings 😁

Healthunlock has a feature where you can share your location and see other people who live nearest to you. That might be a way to connect for walking.

Hi Nordic50

Really glad that you've found an activity which lifts your spirits, and I hope you're able to find like-minded Nordic walkers to enjoy many great walks.

We have a topic called 'HE and Exercise' where you could post some photos of your walks if you wanted.

Wishing you a great week.

Zest :-)

Have you thought of joining the University of the third age- U3A? It is for people of all ages who are not in full time employment, academic qualifications are neither required or awarded. There are over 1000 U3A’s in the UK and details can be found on the U3A web site.

Yes, U3A is the organisation to join for walking and lots of other recreational activities too. There is never a dull moment and you can be involved in various activities every day of the week, usually during the day time. Check the web site for a U3A near you and join without delay and learn, laugh and have lots of fun; the future is yours, make the most of it.
