I was in the forest by a pond and the mother was quacking away but the duckling knew that I was feeding them so came out of the rushes to be fed and it seemed bizarre how friendly and fearless the duckling was.
Here's a photo as I think the duckling looks cute and totally unfazed by me.
Another good reason to get out and enjoy some fresh air as we need exercise and a healthy diet for a healthy lifestyle and a sense of wellbeing. π
What a lovely scene to start the day - thank you so much for sharing this lovely photo of the very cute duckling.
I'm dashing about a bit today, haven't even had time to post my breakfast and Fitness goals for the week, so will hope to do a collage later, and I have to say that seeing your calming photo has done me good. Thank you, it's really lovely.
thank you Zest, this is very kind of you and at least you've had your breakfast and I look forward to seeing your breakfast and fitness goals as they're very inspirational. π
Thatβs a very cute duckling Hidden it must worry the duck parents no end how fearless they are with people approaching with food!
Our local mill pool has goslings at the moment, I was feeding them the other day and the parent geese were torn between protecting their babies and wanting to be fed. They settled for hissing at me between mouthfuls!
Hi Fran, the ducklings can move fast so I'd think there's more chance of me falling in the pond than catching one. π
I can imagine what it was like feeding the goslings as geese are feisty, there's an escaped domestic goose and that blocks the path and if you feed it, it runs after you hissing they can be quite intimidating geese.
