As our friend Zest is on holiday and started this topic which is important as we need exercise combined with a balanced diet for optimum health, or to help get us back on track again.
So here's my stats:
Distance 30.2 Km in 2 hours Active calories 601 total cals' 766. Av heart beat 114bpm
I'm 5'10 and my weight is 136 lbs/ Bmi 19.5/ Body fat 15.5%
I cycle to get out of the city and into the countryside so here's where I've been and I stopped with a thermos and enjoyed being out in this lovely Autumn sunshine.
Here's a link to the Health Walk group for those of you who'd like some inspiration to get outside and have some excercise:
Woo! impossible for me as have bad back but I did do pilates this morning, swam 1km this pm and walked just over 4 throughout the day. Feet up now (literally as I have a DVT!).
Lovely photo . I love it when the trees meet above and create a tunnel. You are very fit Jerry. You must get a real sense of achievement from building yourself to that level of fitness and to have that much stamina especially considering your health obstacles which must zap your energies at times.
Thanks Jerry. There are some great trails on the site now so lots of inspiration for anyone who is interested in walking for pleasure or fitness πΆββοΈ πΆββοΈ
Thank you Ali, I have felt very run down in the past and have verged on pernicious anaemia twice and both times I bounced back using diet only.
My son has inspired and encouraged me to get fit, he is the same size as me but much fitter as his body fat is sub 8% and his resting heart beat is around 40 bpm. Mind you I blame the parents LOL...
