So,I am 27 and I am a women.i have elevated esr levels for months now.in January this year I fell sick.one day morning I woke up with sore throat and dry cough.i lost my voice too . doctor advised not to talk for a week because my vocal cord is paralysed for some reason. He gave me two high dose of antibiotics and pain killers.i felt better after taking the antibiotics but I never completely recovered.at the time of this happened my esr lever was 42.then the next month onwards I always feel extremely tired and I feel like I might faint.the tiredness is killing me.my body aches so much and my eyes feels heavy all the time.i can barely function any more.i checked again with my doctor and he ignored my tiredness as nothing. I told him my throat still sore at times and my body aches so much when I am tired and it's affecting my daily life.but he said its nothing to worry about.my esr level was at 29.i cried outside the hospital because my body is suffering and doctors are not understanding. The tiredness continued I stayed in my room depressed and barely productive.now my esr is 38.my stomach is sick all the time.i have severe heartburn and digestion problems. I don't feel like eating food because I have loose motion and stomach pain for more than two months now.can someone tell me if you guys experience such things.what is happening to me.sorry for bad english. Not my primary language.

Hi cupcake5555

Welcome to the Healthy eating forum.

I am so sorry to hear you've been experiencing those symptoms you described, and I can see that it's been very upsetting for you.

We are members and volunteers here with an interest in Healthy eating, and so none of us are medically trained.

I am sorry that you've not found your doctor to be understanding - and maybe it might be worth seeing another doctor to get a second opinion, because they might be able to offer you some more support and help.

I hope you can find someone to help you - because it sounds like it's understandably affecting your mood and well-being.

Zest :-)

38 is not high esr.Your doctor should treat sore throat. You should concentrate on your diet and find out the food that cause diarrhoea and other abdominal ailments.

Good luck.
