Hi.
I like to avoid as many processed foods as I can. Mostly eating things that will spoil within a few days to a week or so.
Fruits, vegetables and meat mostly for me.
Personally dairy and gluten don’t agree with me so I avoid those groups, again as much as I can.
I believe everything has to be balanced.
I think a healthy diet is a mixture of all things and just having a balance of them. I find cutting out things like carbs etc is only a temporary means and it’s not maintainable.
I remember reading somewhere that the more the food looks like it’s natural state the better it is for you eg a baked potato is nearer to a potato say than chips.
And also diet stuff is bad for you!! Crazy I know
I am constantly learning on this healthy life style, I hope this helps a little x

A quick rule of thumb — Anything a teenager Does’nt eat !!
I keep away from processed food and eat mainly vegetables, fruit doesn't like me much as I have IBS. I eat very little sugar but do have some, I also eat raw fruit bars i.e. date and cashew bars, they are really lovely. If you eat in between meals eat a healthy snack i.e. a small handful of nuts/raw carrots, fruit etc.
If you are a meat eater eat lean meat. I only eat chicken and not sure how much longer I'll be eating it as I much prefer a vegetarian diet.
Also, exercise if very important as well as eating well.
Enjoy
