mayoclinic.org/healthy-life... this is a diet for the condition i really hope that it helps,
Hello Helenacalder. The first thing really is to fully understand what diverticular disease is and to realise that when the word changes to ........litis you are suggesting that you have an infection. Firstly have a look at a description given by a surgeon who specialises in this operation at: healthscams.org.uk/divertic...
Generally speaking if you do have the infection the you may be given antibiotics. This is to be avoided if possible as they will kill the gut flora too. They are not gone for ever but can be restored over a short period of time by taking yoghourt and other good things like raw milk.
As you will see, the condition is frequently caused by a lack of fibre in your food and principally the bread. You need to eat 100% wholemeal bread, not that rubbish sold in a supermarket but either from a proper baker or made at home. There's a recipe on the same site: healthscams.org.uk/bake-you... I make all the bread in the home.
What I have given you should put you on the right track. Tibbly
