Homemade soup

Couldn't think what to have for lunch yesterday so I Popped my head in the freezer & cooked 'Frozen Broccoli Florets, Sliced Carrots, Spring Greens & Tesco Broccoli (38%), Sweet Potato (30%), Beetroot & Kale packet a few peas with low salt stock cube' in the saucepan brought to the boil then blitzed it in food mix. I then added two teaspoons of Danone Vanilla Coconut Yoghurt low fat after serving it. Guess what that's my lunch for today as well...made enough for two days.

Hi Kazzy17 ,

Your homemade soup sounds great! Making it last a couple of days is good too - I sometimes freeze batches of soup so I can have them whenever I fancy them.

Hope you're having a great week.

Zest :-)

Hi Zest thanks it was filling as well. It's hard right now as my husbands operation is on Tuesday Gall bladder out Laparoscopic way. I always nosh food when I'm stressed or can't eat at all lol.. Think I am more worried than he is. In Just over 10yrs together we haven't been apart except when they discovered it end of October silly pair. I will try and behave with my food intake he he...😶😦🌝

Hi Kazzy17 ,

Wishing your husband well with his operation on Tuesday, and I hope you manage to cope too. I've had that operation myself, and it was very straight-forward and hopefully all will be fine for your husband too.

Good luck with your goals re: your food intake. Maybe think of some ways to distract yourself from turning to food when you're feeling the stress. I find that having a walk can really help - it's finding what works best for you.

Good luck,

Zest :-)
