Hi Julie,
Welcome to the Healthy Eating community. I know you've asked about activities whilst suffering from fibromyalgia, and I wondered if you might find more support in one of the Fibromyalgia Communities, and here is a link to one of them, incase you do want to take a look:
healthunlocked.com/fibromya...
I hope that is helpful. I hope you'll stay in this community too, if you want to discuss aspects related to healthy eating, as it's a good community too!
Lowcal
Hi Julie, not sure if this helps but down here in Bristol where I am there is a GP referral exercise scheme to help people with long term problems keep/stay fit(ter), may be worth ringing your GP practice or local gym to see if there's a similiar scheme where you are, good luck
Hi i have fibromyalgia, iam lucky i have a personal trainer who comes once a week, hes worth his weight in gold,i have found it helps a lot, but far from easy.i also follow, a low cal high fat diet, i have lost a lot of weight and feel a lot fitter, its never easy but better than being over weight and unfit, there is planty of information on this diet on you tube and the paleo diet. good luck
I'm also having this disease and I cant even sleep at night due to the pain and muscle spasms.
I find the lack of sleep the worse thing to cope with, makes me do silly things i would not do normaly
Rheumatologist said I probably have it as well as OA and Asthma..... Heavy healthy Burden but i swim and do regular three/four times a week, amountung to 20mins/day. It's doable I PROMISE
Can U swim? The water holds U
