ongoing painful headaches 6 years post SAH and Botox treatment

hi everyone,

I’ve been getting bad post SAH headaches for 6 years now and I’ve lost my job for this and other health related reasons. My headache specialist is in the process of adding new drugs into my current regime. They are treating me for intercranial hypertension and chronic migraine brought about by the SAH.

They have suggested they try scalp Botox injections. Has anyone ever had that before?

Hi Silmarillion, I had my bleed five years ago and I still have headaches and head pains, I have been on several different medications like amytriptiline and am now on tipimarate as well as paracetamol. The head pains worse if I lie on my right side, if I have to bend down for anything, or if I sneeze it’s like my head is about to explode. I think it’s just a case of trying to live with it as nothing seems to get rid of it entirely I try to avoid anything that tends to make it worse, but dread getting a cold lots of luck love Alice xx
