I got a blueberry bush on Thursday and it has filled a void and I enjoy sitting with the Bush and giving the Bush company and it sound stupid to say out loud but it makes me happy to the point i want to be around it all the time and I think about it all the time
It doesn't think I'm fat
It doesn't care how much money is in my bank
It doesn't care how late I stay out
It doesn't care if I accidentally forget about it
It doesn't care if my flat is a mess
It doesn't care what type of music I listen to or the volume of It
It doesn't care that I no longer have a car and had to spend a hour walking slowly back from the garden center with a bigger pot, more soil and feed with it
The Bush is very therapeutic and I just enjoy staring at it though the window and reflecting (sometimes crying)

Bexx blueberry bushes only thrive in acidic soil don’t water them with tap water just rainwater! If it doesn’t fruit well sprinkle pine leaves on soil which will increase acid levels.
They wouldn’t like my music prodigy, chemical brothers, moby, orbital, aphex twins and of course being Bristolian massive attack. Those plants would burn!
Outdoor veg , plants and trees survive with me,but an indoor one will be have to resist drought then flooding low temps as I’m always hot and like u said music but electronica makes the leaves stand on end.
I have a friend that works in the callington road depo (bristol.gov.uk/en_US/museum... and he has a small green house with horticulture knowledge so if can always ask him to come round and take a look or I can ask people at riverside garden centre where I got the bush from
I bought a couple of air plants earlier this month and I understand where you're coming from . They're weird little things which look like green octopuses and don't need soil to live. I have to dunk them in pond water for several hours to water them, because the tap water here in London is too hard. I do feel very protective of them.
