Blueberry bush progress

Hi all,

I am in the final week of the pregablin medication and alot has gone on:

1. I have had a new boiler fitted as the landlord got fed up with repairing the old on and I am due to get new heaters as the inside is rusted away

2. I have spoken with OH and despite them saying they cant help due to waiting on specialist, they have identified that massive break down in communication between me and my manager and that if I choose to go the legal route under a certain section of the disablity act the court would rule in my favour

3. Because the OH report was going to HR, my manager thought it was a good idea (at last) to find out through all this how I felt and it was a relief to get it all off my chest and for him to actually acknowledge how he has made me feel (my unison came through at the same time which I indeed to keep as a fall back should I ever have to encounter this Hassle again and I still have to meet with a mentor to helpe cope with anxiety and my work load while I wait for August)

And for those people who doubted my blueberry bush was dead please observe the NEW leaves (they are the bright green ones compared to the darker green ones) that have recently come though that I haven't touched besides watering it to replace the ones that have dropped off

PS I can't cope with sleep in this heat and my living room/bedroom is like a green house

Hi Bexx - haven’t you done amazingly with all of this :) well done. I understand the hiuse must feel like a greenhouse. It feels like a green house in my house too and I haven’t even got the plants. Wishing you all the very best with your work situation x

Thanks I've had some really dark moments that I thought I would never get but I got though it (somehow) all without support which shows what strong character I have I think

thats so true. I remember reading your posts about your job a long time ago and found them encouraging. I remember thinking that despite the issues you mentioned you were still somehow managing to keep going with your job. It made me think there was a possibility of going to work even with a TBI. Good luck with getting the right support to keep your job, hopefully they'll help you now , and it's good that your union representative is involved. Have you got a fan to help move the air around in your house. I used to have one but the noise of it kept me awake. The ice cold hot water bottle seems like a great idea :)

I do have a fan which helps but I think of the amount of cost in electric to keep it running so only run it so it drops a few degrees

apparently if you pop your sheets in the freezer before getting into bed it cools your bed down. Or a freezing cold water bottle. Anything to help you get to sleep

My freezer is too small to shove a sheet in but I have heard that before in the past

Hi bexx87. Good for you. Busy week but a weight from your shoulders. I told that I just water my blueberry only rain water. Do you think that's is right?

Hi,

yes it is, blueberry bushes prefer acidic soil, so rain water keeps it at ph.5.5 or lower and tap water raises it, if like me with this hot weather your running out of rain water you can get a water butt to collect water coming off the roof or in a bucket, or change the soil every few months or give it feed to lower the soil PH due to the tap water.

I have this which helps:
