I wasn't happy with my blog so I am going to showcase some of my art through my very own website :).
SOME of my art, not all of it.
Here is the link: powderedtoastman.portfoliob...
So once again, come see my wares, don't be shy :).

Just followed the link and look at your artwork. You are very talented Matt. I particularly like the dog with the glasses and tie. Well done. Caroline
Thanks Caroline :). I think that dog with the glasses and tie is one my favourites. Actually, the lady who runs my other disabled group put that picture in a photo frame and entered it into a gallery. After the picture was showcased, she gave it back to me and it is now on my wall :).
I'm drawing a picture of a bulldog in a raincoat at the moment and by the way it is looking so far, it might be my new favourite :).
My favourites are the yellow bird on a tree stump, the 'Goodbye' girl and the pencil sketches. Good work Matt ; you should keep this up and develop it further. xx
Thanks very much Cat :). The bird on the stump was one of my first pieces using colour pencils. Before that I was just using graphite pencil, probably my favoured choice of drawing so far.
Graphite ? Well it looks pretty accomplished in your hands . . . . . . . . especially the flying Batman and the Full Monty sketch.
I used to enjoy using oil pastels because of their texture and the depth they can create. It's so satisfying to create an image on paper which previously existed only inside your head !
All traditional lead pencils are graphite pencils usually grade HB. With a set of graphite pencils, you can light hard pointed pencils to soft and dark pencils.
Thanks :).
I have used oil pastels in the past but didnt enjoy using those so much. My work would always look rough and the pictures I had seen online were all smooth and beautiful looking pieces of work. That is when I found to get that look you would need to use turpentine to blend the oils :). I wouldnt be preparde for that. I like to use pencils because they are cleaner. Ive used charcoal before as well, I love the tones you can make with charcoal but it is messy though.
I found myself faced with a wall of pictures but when I clicked on one it enlarged but there were no details telling me what I was looking at and no way I could find to close the image...so I was left with the option to remain stuck in a loop of pictures or leave your site...
From the comments above I am guessing nobody else encountered this problem so I am wondering what I did wrong?
The website is basic at the moment, I just wanted a page with most of my uploaded pictures on them, which I have for now.
I shall edit it a bit more, maybe add some details to them or some of them soon.
You should be able to click anywhere outside the image to go back to the gallery, at least that is what I did and I'm guessing others did.
LOVE IT. THE MAKEREL IS STILL MY FAVOURITE, IT MAKES ME LAUGH EVERY TIME I SEE IT. KEEP IT UP IN 215
HAPPY FESTIVE SEASON!
