Hi there. I’ve hashi and coeliac (on road to recovery I believe from recent biopsy). But have diarrhoea most mornings (I’m certain not from gluten) and last few weeks feel truly dreadful - constant nausea from waking til late afternoon, only relieved by eating. Sweet things particularly have an instant impact in terms of recovery. Docs have run loads of tests which all came back in “normal” range. Including tsh of 7 (no t3 or t4 tests). I didn’t think much of it as have generally been really lucky with thyroid and not paid much attention other than to take my thyroxine. But am now wondering if I should look at the thyroid for an answer. But are these symptoms weird for hypo? Docs are now running t4 and t3 as I requested but are adamant it can’t be thyroid causing this. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance am feeling rather desperate at start of long family camping hols

Hi there, I've not got a thyroid problem but from what I believe a TSH of 7 when medicated is very high. I would recommend posting on the thyroid group and listing your symptoms and latest blood test results. There are some very knowledgeable people on that site that can help.
Thanks so much - stupidly I thought I HAD posted on the thyroid group. Doh 🙄
Maybe your lactose intolerant if you have Celiac. Try cutting out dairy for a few days and see if that’s the culprit .
Thanks Patricia. I should have said I cut out lactose year or so ago as the coeliac recovery has been slow. Also tried removing other possible dietary offenders to no effect.
Hey if sugar helps you feel better you might be hypoglycemic. (Or hyper can’t remember which terminology applies) Might be worth getting your blood sugars checked. If you are Celiac , diabetes sometimes follows!
Low blood sugar from hypoglycaemia also causes nausea and confusion. Sweets raise your sugars so you instantly feel better
Thanks Patricia. I wondered same but doc has tested and apparently def not diabetes. Thanks tho.
