Just to update I had my second turbt (7 in total) after the reoccurrence on Monday. I’m happy to say that there’s no new growth and the path report was NED 😀as the previous one was so small and G1 I’ve been recommended to continue with 3 monthly check ups and mitomycin. A relief I must say as I’d always seen BCG as a last resort. Anyone know if in such a case we continue with maintenance or start from the beginning again with treatment?
Best wishes and positive results to all

Hi Paula just read your post. I am sorry I can’t give you an answer. I just had turbt done three weeks ago. Unfortunately mine was classified as G3 T1 and I need to go in again during the next few weeks. I understand they are going to determine wether to give me BCG or a cystectomy. Both options are very frightening to me. So I do feel for you. And wish you all the best. I will follow your progress. Rienij
Thanks for the reply so sorry to hear your results it must be very daunting indeed. Fingers crossed for you that everything goes well whatever path you take.
I‘m carrying on where I left off so still have 13 more monthly sessions of mitomycin. I realize I’m quite „lucky“. However it’s a scary journey for all of us and made better through support!
Thank you Paula. I think I have made up my mind, doing a lot of research I think BCG is just delaying the inevitable problably just as well to go for cystectomy the odds of survival are better. Please let me know how you are getting on. All my best wishes. Rienij xx
I wish you all the very best for the operation and a speedy recovery. When is it? Keep us posted. It’s a brave decision and there is a lot of support from lovely people here and on other sites who’ve been through it and are living very full and happy lives.
I’ve just returned to work and the monthly mitomycin routine next cytoscopy on 28 December. 🤞For us all
