Cautiously optimistic.

Hello again from Northumberland.

Now in between my 2nd and 3rd BCG treatments, and recently had another cystoscopy examination.

No visual signs of my unwelcome bladder lodger, and significantly no cancerous cells detected in lab samples from my bladder washes.

I think I have probably still got a long way to go till we are all clear.

My diabetes control is now classed as excellent by my Consultant, and my stroke recovery is continuing to surprise even me!

However I have now had a diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer) on my left shoulder, and am awaiting surgery for its removal.

There`s always something to concentrate the mind isn`t there?

Still trying to achieve my ambition of living for ever. (So far - so good)

PS., The chickens are thriving!

Best wishes to all of you,

David

Hey David glad all is going well. I had a total of 16 BCG treatments after I was going thru surgeries. Did fine with them all. My tumors were noninvasive but they just continually wanted to keep visiting me. I am happy to report that it has been 2 years this month and have been cancer free...................Yeah.......................... I am 65

Hi Sadie2007

Thanks for the reply.

So pleased you are recovering. I intend to as well. Life is full of these little adversities, all of which make it interesting, don`t you think?

I will be 73 in 4 weeks time.............27 years and 1 month to my telegram from Her Majesty!
