FA have been on and removed the obvious link to promote her book.. So this blog is now just someone's own opinion of their health and how they "cured" themselves which is within guidelines. I don't know if the person will respond ... But please don't get yourselves stressed out about this post as there is no medical fact to back up her claims posted within this blog that the person even had fibromyalgia..... Just take this blog as someones opinion ... Some may agree with it some may not... I have my own thoughts on it .. But please don't get upset or stressed ...as I do agree the title and style of the blog is rather patronising

Well done VG. - I think that coming her to blatantly promote her own book is an insult, thank you though for taking the appropriate action and I too hope that people can now be calm and be reassured that the views given by an American, self promoting person, are not what should be posted in our forum. Our kind volunteers and mods will no doubt have got the situation sorted out in a proper fashion. Foggy x

It is now being scientifically backed up that there is a brain issue which causes the central nervous system to send transmitters of pain. There is no cure but maybe people can have a bit of remission.
Remember in the states you can buy your medication, so there are loads of tv adverts promoting them as miracle cures and these books fall under thst category. If there was a wonder cure we would all now be running, dancing and be able to go around a supermarket without having to lie down for 3 days.
Yeh was not impressed. Was v patronising and made me feel bad and angry at same time. Hate it when ppl come on here and say they are cured and are either smug or quite rude seeming to imply that if they are able to sort it we should too. Kinda imply its our fault we are ill. Assuming these ppl were genuine, we all know that fms affects ppl in varying degrees and what aids one person may not help someone else and its just bonkers to say there is a cure all out there. There rant over!xx

I loathe it when people do that and it's all in the cause of self promoting to sell something. If that was me, and it was true I would give it to you all for free!

I'm still seething at the blatantly patronising and rude attitude posted by this person. I realise that some of it is the cultural difference between the USA & the UK however to upset vulnerable people needlessly in such a manner is in my book reprehensible; especially considering the recent advances in research that indicates we may have a brain imbalance that we have no control over what-so-ever.
Hi all I get that point of veiw from my father every few months “I've seen this on the the net there's a cure, do this this and this and youl b cured ” its so frustrating it doesn't matter how many times I explain it to him I made the mistake once of telling him there was a brain issue and he jumpped on it oh he says its all in your mind sycosamatic think yourself better and you will be, my older brother just calles me a hypocondriact. They seem to think that just because they've been to uni so many times and I haven't that they know more about how I feel how fibro afeckts me and how I can magicly cure myself. Sorry about spelling mistakse but I'm working one eyed today due to conjunctivitis in my right eye. Gentle hugs all round. Sithy
wel im l on the fence i really dont know what too say only that ive been a lot better with what im taking but ?? i really dont think you should make money out it .if it helps then so be it pass on the good news cos we all want relief at the end of the day i just wish i could have a bowel transplant been suffering so-much with a bowel blockage could not eat for 7 days been in hospital i just want peace with my body 10 steps back all the time xx
