Hi I'm in dunfermline and found out that the nearest support group is in St. Andrews meeting the last Saturday of each month. A bit far for me.

hi kaymayes I know the feeling I live in stirling and there is nothing and I to feel very alone,i know I can talk to people on the forums but its not quite the same as face to face I know there are some groups in Scotland but I do not drive and am unable to use public transport due to my physical disabilitys its just me and my 2 pets here at home so I don't even have anyone to talk to most of the time I do hope you can find some support near you all the best, pauline x

See here for some Scottish groups:

If there isn't a group local to you, you could consider setting one up. Or if you don't want to do that, you may still be able to find other local sufferers. A group may be able to put you in touch with others in your local area, or writing to a local paper asking if there are other people with Fibro wanting to meet up can sometimes have a good effect.

Hi Kay Mayes I am a lupus sufferer and I live in the Dunfermline area I was put on the chronic pain course by my rheumy at the Vic Through that I met a few fibro sufferers and that Is why I come on the site .From the course I have since joined the Duloch sports centre where they have classes that suit people like us and again I met fibro sufferers I like the sites as I can never tell when I will be none too good to meet up with the lupus group and hate to let people down Ask about the course I'm sure you would get a lot from it Take care and hope this helps

I live in Fife. Have contacted St Andrews group twice with no reply. Been to Alliance meeting in Glasgow last 2 months which I have found beneficial. Been really struggling for last few months. Would be happy to try to set something up locally. Might give me something to focus on.

Hi all. Are you all on facebook? I was thinking it might be easier to set up arrangements if we had a facebook group where we could post meetings instead of trying to do it individually? In the meantime I will try to work out how to set up group page,as I havent a clue!my email add is carole-67@hotmail.com

Thank you. Have set up basic page as Fibrofog friends Fife. If we get a few people added we can decide where to go from here. Does that seems ok?

Hello all. I have tried to set up a facebook page so we can post locallyt and see if we can arrange to meet up. I have no idea what I am doing, so please bear with me and we will see how it goes. It is Fibrofog friends Fife. I have no idea how to send invites, so think yu just send request and it will let me know. Ha ha . I am hopeless!!!

Finger crossed.

Carole
