Hi, Im in plymouth. Dont think theres a support group here.perhaps we should start one. I am in contact with others from Plymouth on other group sites.Mainly, Fibromyalgia in the south west uk. It would be good to get together to swop stories and advise.we tried on fibro awareness day but it didnt work out due to too many health probs.Keep in touch tho. Carol.

Thanks, tricky time as I'm working full time. I wondered if it would be a daytime thing, it would be good to find out for sure tho as I've never come across anything here.

Hi all, hope you are as well as you can be. I notice that a few of you are from Plymouth. I am an admin member of a very successful facebook group for fibromyalgia sufferers in the south west. We have a number of members from Plymouth, Devon & Cornwall. If you are interested in joining us, please let me know. We also share information about support groups too x

Hi Topcat,

I have been diagnosed with fibro, and have recently had to give up work (I was a carer). I live in the Plymouth area and would be interested in joining your support group. What link do I need please?

thanks for that list Christine. It was useful. I've spoken to the Wadebridge support group leader and Sod's Law struck cos she mentioned that the Launceston group folded only a year ago - just when I moved down to Devon to live some 10 miles from Launceston! Wadebridge is a lot further away, but I'm hopeful I can persuade my fella to take me along moderately regularly and perhaps make a day out of it :-D

Hello everyone, I've recently been diagnosed a Fibromyalgia and have been actively searching for a group in Plymouth. Work wise (although off long term at moment I am self employed) I have access to a training room that can seat 15 people or more, with tea coffee, herbal drinks ect ect. I couple of my friends whom have since discovered have Fibro are interested in supporting (my theory is if there are a few of us together organising when one is fatigued another can pick up). Anyone long and short I would like to offer venue for a group meeting, I also have a dear friend who is a qualified aromatherapy and reflexologist so maybe we could organise an afternoon at reduced cost so we can try? If you are interested ill ask my husband to set up a website for us all as a group so other people in Plymouth can find us (we can all input into what we want the websit to do). I have lots of ideas, I'm sure you do too xx

I'll keep you posted as contacting as many people as I can to organise a meeting some can take from there. Are you better if we meet on an afternoon or evening (mornings put for me due to sleeper meds) xx

Hope this helps, details of support groups in the South West, including Devon -
