I was chatting on the phone yesterday and commenting that it was snowing earlier that morning -

" I looked out and saw lots of snow fluffies."

it took me over 2 hours to realise I meant flurries!

I told my new neighbour that the previous elderly occupant had had loads of stuffed animals

in the lounge. I meant soft toys but couldn't think of the words!

I went on to apologise about the cats. What I meant to imply was the noise when a stray

came onto our patch. She thought I meant about the cats using her sand pit...?
