Yes,, I don't pay as I'm on incapacity benefit etc....hmmm just a thought, will that change with my having been put into the WRAG group ? But in essence, yes, definately people with chronic conditions should not have to pay, in my humble opinion..

Hi Foggy how did you get free prescriptions when on IB?I am on IB(now ESA support) and being on IB didn't automatically entitle one to free prescriptions?i have to purchase a prepaid certificate.what conditions do you have and how did they determine putting you in WRAG group??i agree they should get free prescriptions and free dental examinations

I don't pay as we qualify under the working tax credit exemption with the white plastic card , but I Definately would support this as my OH has a non curable lung condition so if he has to give up his part time job not sure how we would manage and we both take permenant medication

I personally think all chronic conditions should have free prescriptions !

I have to pay now that my maternity exemption has stopped. I am now buying Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) as otherwise it would cost an extortionate amount.

I have signed the campaign (which was easy to do) and I have sent an email to my MP (the template that was provided).

Very Simple & took 5 minutes!!

i have a PPC too , i think that prescriptions are prepaid from our NI contributions, we do not expect something for nothing, its like when people say we have a free NHS no we don't our taxes pay for it so its prepaid

It's disgraceful that people with chronic illness should be required to pay for prescriptions. Not just us fibromites, but others too.

My son in law has severe asthma, and when he was a student, he couldn't afford his medication. I always bought it for him, but he felt guilty, and would try to ration himself. Consequently he was often hospitalised with a severe attack, which must have cost the NHS far, far more than the cost of his regular prescriptions!

I have written to my MP and would urge everyone to do the same, if not for themselves, then for others!

Yes

Absolutely i agree,i am also asthmatic and without my medication for this i most certainly wouldn't be alive today,it is appalling that some folks are having to choose between eating or medicating it is an absolute disgrace, the NHS is supposedly a free medical service therefore NHS prescriptions should be free! x
