Hmm my experience with fibro books has been buy if you can afford it...but don't expect any miracles.... Or see if your local library can get a copy in..... I bought one with great expectations as it was ways to cope with fibro to make life easier .... It in fact was well worth the money as I haven't laughed so much in ages ... I don't think the person who wrote it had fibro and if they had they had surely been misdiagnosed cos if I could do all the things in the book I would be out working.

I agree with VG I have bought several books and to be honest they do not help you get more valuable info from this site, but if you fancy it and its within budget have a dip and see let us know what you think xgins

these books are fun to look at, but just reading about the things they suggest you do is ... exhausting!

Me too, i bought several books, all of which led me to the same conclusion, that fibro isn't something that can be summed up, there is no "one size fits all". Although we all have the same condition the way it effects everyone is very individual, yes, there are thing we all have in common, that is why it's so good to come here and get support because people have been through similar things, but ar the end of the day fibro is not something, in my humble opinion that can be made easier by missives from a book.

If a book is affordable though and it helps the person who bought it then I am very happy for them.

I think i will leave my complete trust in my doctor,i am sure when there is a cure he will tell me and if theirs any truth in that book i'm sure it will be known as a breakthrough to be known by medical doctors,i suppose some people can interact with that kind of book if it helps carry on reading and exploring these books, just don't expect miracles, don't forget there is no set pattern to Fibro we all suffer in different ways feeling like flue all the time" Lemsip" will not cure or help'if you get rewarded and comfort go ahead.jacksiex
