Hi all I have started with another new type of pain it feels like tendonitis across the top of my foot but we all know how fibro can manifest or exaggerate a pain. I only know about the tendonitis because my daughter suffered from it a few years ago. I can only describe it as a wave of pain across the top of one foot and it's a severe pain lasting only a short time (30 seconds to a minute) but it repeats again and again today it began when I got up about 9.30 am and its been going on since and it's now 2.00 am that's 15 hours with just a minute or so between each wave of pain, trouble is I am taking my wife away for a short break next week your help and advice would be appreciated.

Take care and God bless.

I get this accompanied with burning in the rest of my foot. Sadly I don't know what causes it but when it happens I go barefoot to cool them down and the pain slowly eases. If you're worried, speak to your doctor x

I have peripheral neuropathy (numbness, hands and feet), over recent months I've been getting a feeling like my feet are being crushed with sharp shooting/stinging type pain that seems to come from nowhere. Also have severe swelling and throbbing, which feels to me like pounding blood circulating. I know some people worry when every time they speak to a dr.and are told it's 'just' another fm symptom. Thing is, by all means ask if there are any tests to rule out anything else, but I'm pretty sure this condition can affect any and all parts of the body. It is also my experience that new symptoms will often put in an appearance during times of added stress. Perhaps a break away is just what the doctor ordered, and you will come back a new man :).

I have the same problem!

Nothing wrong with my foot, apparently, apart from moderate arthritis, but when I get an attack it is a real nuisance. An ice-pack is my stand-by remedy for most pains, and it works pretty well on this one!

I have to presume that it's fibro + arthritis, because resting definitely makes it much better.

Unfortunately, too much rest is bad for the other aches and pains so I have to do a balancing act!

Hope your holiday cheers you up and helps you to feel better!

Moffy x
