Hi emsy, I would suggest you ask your doctor if there are any local support groups you could join. I was diagnosed 4 years ago and only discovered the support group a year ago. It has made a huge difference, in many ways. Obviously we all have fm, so you are not judged, and the information sharing has been invaluable. I am now with the pain clinic, which, without the group I did not know existed.

I wish you well and hope you van find the support which many of us need.

Dear Emsy,

Being newly diagnosed you may like to read up on Fibromyalgia and it's treatments.

Please can I provide you with a link to the FibroAction website , About Fibro

fibroaction.org/Pages/About...

I would consider discussing with the GP your symptoms and the best treatment plan.

Also I would agree with the advice from Lyndybird about maybe finding a support group. You can speak to people locally who are living with Fibromyalgia too, this may be of help.

Here is a link to FibroAction Support Group Directory. I hope you can find a local group in the listings

I hope this helps

If you have any worries or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask us, we are always only too happy to help. We all understand, we are all in the same boat here.

You might benefit from asking your GP for a referral to a Rheumatologist who may have a better understanding of your Fibromyalgia.
