floting rib?? maybe u being oversensitive to it??
hello tinkerfae, what is floting rib?
I get it in my knees and sometimes in my hips when I lie down.
I am not sure why we get it.
I think tinkerfae means a floating rib. Our last two ribs are only attached to the spine and so float.
Piggie hugs xxxx
I can't lay on either side, as not only is it painful all the way down, but I go completely numb and it causes huge problems for my neck and shoulders. For some time now, I have only been able to sleep on my back, and social services provided me with 2 mattress elevators, one will keep me upright and the other to keep my knees raised, so in other words I sleep in a sitting position, because I also cannot lie down flat on my back. It has helped me tremendously, because ev en though my sleep is still disturbed, I don't wake up in agony.
If you haven't been in touch with Adult Social Care in your area yet, it's well worth it, as they can provide useful equipment to make your life at home easier, give helpful advice, you can be registered as disabled, apply for your blue badge etc etc. Hope this helps!
