Hi. I suffer with gerd and ge the sickness feeling regularly. Especially in the mornings when most of the time I vomit soon after waking. I also take lanzaprosole 30mg 2xday. I developed severe gastritis in June last year to the point that I couldn't even keepnwater down and the pain was indescribable. A burning gnawing pain made worse by anything in my stomach. I ended up at the hospital twice in 7 days and the second time, they prescribed motillium 10mg twice a day. It worked almost instantly and the awful constant nausea calmed down so much that what I did feel was a piece of cake compared to before. I still suffer with sickness and vomiting regularly but I am on motillium 10mg 3xday and that hold the worst of it at bay. It's also known as domperidone. You should always ask your drs advice but can buy those at the chemist.
I hope this helps. It's an awful feeling to have. As my gastritis calmed down it started to feel like my stomach was rumbling but it was so fierce it made, and still can make me vomit but it's definitely ot as bad as it used to be so I'm grateful lol. At least I can eat again, well some things anyway
Happy New Year everyone. May 2013 bring the happiness, health and security we all deserve!!
I had a period of this recently when I couldn't tase well thats not stricktly true everything tasted bland even curry. I lost a lot of weight which to be honest I needed to but there was no pleasure in food or meals.
Wow, I've just been talking to my husband saying I feel sick and don't fancy anything to eat, I've just cooked a meal of chicken and fresh vegetables but as soon as I started to dish them up my stomach just churned, this is starting to happen all the time, I could not pick out a favourite meal as nothing appeals to me.
This site is fantastic and offers great support, also I'm going to a support group on Monday.
