Home remedy, reclining chair for the burning restless legs and medical, trigger point injections for my muscle spasms in shoulders and neck and finally getting my night meds right.

Thanks Grumpy

I'll take your advise and give it a go.

Mmmmm i would say my sleepy time pills are the best but diazapam is a close second when i get it.

Thanks Rachie. I would also say its the tablets that allow me to actually sleep. In my case its a high dose of amytriptaline. Sadly we still cant find anything to help with my pain whilst conscious. Its like a never ending nightmare. Fibro has stolen my life.

Ive been pain free now for 3 months.back to work, energy level back, sleeping well too and I feel I have my life back.I have been to see a lady physio in Derby who treats fibro she did have this condition. Look on the internet for her .Worth every penny.

Nothing touches my pain as far as pain meds goes. And I cannot sit for more than 5 minutes at a time. After 2 minutes my legs and feet are asleep, after 5 minutes my arms, hands and neck join in. This means I have to rise every 5 minutes, it takes about 7 minutes for everything to go back to normal, so I am constantly standing and sitting, and that makes me more tired. Itis the same trying to sleep, I have to keep getting up but I can lay down for about 10 minutes before I have to get up again. Eventually I do get so tired my body just gives up and I sleep, albeit disruptive sleep for about 2-4 hours xxxxxx

I am very similar to you Ozzygirl. It is awful and I feel for you. I think I know understand why fibromyalgia sufferers are high on the potential suicide list.

30/500 co codamol x2 4 times a day take the edge off, I have tried Gabapentin, amytriptiline, Plaquenil and everything else in between. A heat pad helps to soothe, full blast hot shower on pain region helps and McTimmoney chiropractor, they are gentler than bone crackers, I tried Bowen, and Osteopath and they did nothing. Stretching, gentle stretching that is, helps, hurts, but helps. Other times, I take the tablets and hope for sleep, Tramadol does nothing for me. I keep off the tens as it stimulates my nerves too much and gives me lots of odd twitches and restless leg syndrome and muscle cramps.
