My eldest has just packed up the car and her dad is taking her back to Uni. Start of 2nd year.
I always miss her when she goes but I am happy for her at the same time. The house will be tidier and quieter ( goes without saying I guess with one teenager less here) but she is great company too and just makes me feel better sometimes when fibro makes me miserable or grumpy.
I am lucky though to have such good kids. After all that packing and clearing think I deserve a bit of kindle time and a cuppa
Hope you are all doing ok out there xxx

I know just how you are feeling marzy. Both of mine went off to uni down south and after waving goodbye after each holiday I would sit in their room for a while, smelling their old jumpers (sad) and cuddling abandoned ancient teddy bears (very sad). I still feel the same now they have flown the nest and come home for visits! However, I am proud of having brought up two independant young adults who are finding their way in the world and also know the way home when the going gets tough. Enjoy your kindle and cuppa! Jane x
