Just said goodbye today to a beautiful young lady only 18 yrs old so sad but service was lovely
My heart goes out to her family she was a friend of my daughters n always had a smile - a very sad day makes you think I know we all suffer with bad n horrible illnesses but today was all about a beautiful angel sleep tight hannah xxx

Hi Mystique, I am so very sorry to hear of you and your daughter's loss, especially of one so young- it is tragic. I can relate to this very much. My older daughter who is 25 years old now lost her wee friend to cancer when they were both eight years old. Then around six years ago she lost another friend too. My daughter suffers with depression, anxiety, an eating disorder and social phobia. It has been very hard for her, she still cries and misses her friends- but she can also smile and laugh about the good times and funny things which happened when they were together. I guess what I am trying to say is... that eventually you and your daughter will laugh and smile and remember the good times. My deepest sympathy to you both. xxx
Hi Mystique. so sorry to hear of such sad news, I can not even imagine how I and my daughter would feel if we were in the same position, also her family. hug each other tight and let the tears flow, as Mags said in time you will be able to laugh at the funny thing you all done.

A big thankyou to you all its greatly appreciated and means so much. I am trying to remain strong for my daughter, my children 18, and 23 have been through so many deaths etc in their young lives, we only have a small family unit left as in the last 10 years we have lost most of our family my brother was only 39, but to lose someone so young is really hard. I am so grateful for this site, its so nice to know people are there.
Once again thankyou so much I will try to be strong but am still here if anyone should need a chat etc.

it's such a sad time and Hannah was so young, it must be an awful time for you all.
If you need to cry with your daughter, don't try and fight it, let the tears fall.
Like others have said, you will be able to remember the nice times, fond memories and smile again .
Hannah sounds like a very special person.
