Well naproxen is a stronger version of Ibrufan it's an

Anti inflammatory drug, fibro does not respond

To anti inflammatory drugs, it's very good for

Arthritis

I expect people in here are on it, so they will tell

You how there fibro responds to it

Good luck. Viv

Yup it was pretty useless for me but as I can't take ibuprofen not sure why I was even tried with it... But I gave it a go gave me terrible heartburn indigestion same as ibrprofen.

Hope you have better luck with it

i cant take ibuprofen its for the pain in my feet some days i want 2cut them off the zomoph? is not doing any think for the pain she said take the two x

I was given Naproxen for my migraine headaches though I was advised to only take them on a full tummy as they can cause tummy problems if taken on an empty stomach. I'm afraid they were not very helpful and I changed to sumatriptan which seem to do the trick most times. As previously stated, they are an anti inflamatory and therefore not of much use for Fibro. Hi, I been on 1000mg daily of naproxen for 2 years for fibro and osteoarthritis , for the fibro part it's pretty useless as people have said before it's a anti inflam tablet, see how you go on them for a week and if no good go back, alot if Drs ain't a clue so pot luck with what you get, gentle hugs x

I have been taking Naproxen for the last few years but that is for the arthritis I have in my knee. Definitely don't take it on an empty tummy as it can cause problems. I will be honest with you I was on it before I was diagnosed with Fibro and while it helped my arthritis it did nothing for the Fibro. Like you I take Sumatripine for my migraine

Take care, gentle hugs

I've been on Amitryptilline - slept 24/7; Tramadol - useless; paracetamol - even more useless!! Now on Zapain - paracetamol and high dose of codeine - not perfect, causes constipation!! What next??

I was on amitrips, they helped for about 4 months lol, he had me on those and co-dydramol, and then he suddenly took me off the pain meds, and I have no idea why, unless he thought it may hinder the stomach and duodenal ulcers I have. But I really need something as I just cannot function and I am getting no more than 2 hours sleep a night. Prior tot hat I was getting about 4-5 hours, but badly disturbed. I will let you know how I get on Monday. Keep pushjing hun because there will be something out there that helps you
