about the weather!

We get such a lot, last night the winds moved across from America and howled down the chimneys, battering the house and beating the garden into submission! I think if there is one single form of weather I hate the most it must be wind :( I find it unsettling, perhaps actually scary the way it beats at the fabric of the house.

This morning it seems a little better but cooler so must search out winter woolies!

I don't mind rain it is just wet , snow is inconvenient and beautiful, sun is brilliant when we actually get any.

I hope that every one is feeling ok this morning and has a gentle day x gins

Hi gins

The weather is no better in belfast :-( rainy, stormey, windy and grey - 50 shades of grey to be percise!! - wivout the hottness of christian to distract from it ;-). Unlike you I love the wind especially when I'm having a tropical moment(hot flash) due to the peri-menapause and if it comes with a cooling rain its even better lol. I think my love comes from watching the wizard of oz as a child; this film instilled the belief in me and i'm sure many others at the time that strong winds could gather you up and transport you at the drop of a hat to a new and wonderful land - i wish lol. So when I'm battling against the wind on a very blustery day the memory of this prospect is triggered and im away on an amazing journey in my head :-) how wonderful is the imagination???? beats real life in a dull cold belfast anyday :-)

Hope your day is a good one what ever the weather

More of a 'Gone with the wind' fan myself' ;-) Don't think Christian could hold a candle to Rhett Butler! But maybe I am just showing my age again!! Jane x

Morning gins, I'm not too keen on wind since a roof tile blew of someone's house and smashed my sunroof ,split second earlier it would have been my windscreen, luckily I had the internal slider was shut otherwise I would have been showered with thousands of pieces of cubed glass, so not keen on wind only when snuggled up indoors .

Hi Gins, I'm not too fond of the wind either. We live on the edge of some woodland and every winter we seem to get a tree crashing down in strong winds, especially if the ground is wet. We had a narrow escape last year when a willow only just missed the house. We do get plenty of logs for the fire though! Jane x
