Its unblieveable, I always stand or bend holding my weak and really sore wrist, and state again to anyone that's listening, "I told you talking on the telephone makes me really weak, I cant talk on the telephone!"

Does anyone else find answering a phone or talking on it for even 5 mins, makes them really weak and kills their weak wrist!
Hi clairebm,
I had the exact same problem. Now I put them on speaker phone, so instead of holding the phone in my hand I just press the speaker button and it's much easier. Not everyone will have the speaker function, but if you look up the phone manual for your phone, it should be able to tell you where it is. That way, when someone rings you, you press the button and then carry on talking. That way you don't hurt your wrist anymore. I didn't know I could do it with my phone, until my husband told me. My wrists really hurt anyway but this was making it worse.
Good luck claire, if you have any further problems, then all you can do is again just tell people that when they call you, you can't be on the phone for very long. True friends and family will understand.
Gentle hugs hun xxxx
Thank you Babebatista,
I forgot about that, I could do that if I got another phone, and I will get one next week, I had a fancy phone that did that but it broke, and I preferred a non fancy phone, as I had a child that took the fancy one upstairs and cost me a bomb (plus we could never use it), but thanks for your message, now thats a new telephone and walking stick next week I've to get gotta remember, regards and best wishes Claire xxxx
Hi Claire,
I also have this problem, I don't use speaker phone as i'm not comfortable having an open conversation esp if my son was home, that just me though, all my friends know that to either email me or tex which is much easier, I also tend to email anyone that I need to such as utility service etc, this does work for me, I hope you fine a way that works for you. also you mention that you are getting a walking stick, I have both a walking stick and crutch, what i found is that with the stick its harder work as your shoulder is having to do all the work, creating alot more pain, however with a crutch because you have the elbow support you feel more secure and supported maybe different for you , but just though I would share that so maybe try both in the shop then decided.
Hugs and smiles Ingrid xx
Thank you Ingrid, did'nt know anyone else replied here, sorry, I will do that definitely, like all the girls here (and probably men), My legs are very weak and cant be depended on, to support me all the time (and of course the rest of me is very weak too), but I will try a trip to the mobility shop downtown next week (probably the trip there will make me weak and dizzy for a few days!), but anyway I will try a few things while there, will let you know what I decide on, many thank's xxxxx
I thought this was just happening to me, my fingers go numb after about 5 minutes. x
