Hello and welcome to our lovely forum Valentineheart (love the name!) There is lots of info, understanding, help, support and friendship here. Please take a look through the Tags too for even more info on so many Fibromyalgia related issues and also other conditions too. If you have any queries or concerns please don't hesitate to ask, we're always happy to help.

We are all in the same boat here Valentineheart, so we tend to cover most subjects that crop up along the way with our illness, symptoms, treatment, meds etc.

Regarding your question, I suppose it really depends on how you manage having Fibromyalgia on a day to day basis. Is your pain managed well, do you have any sleep problems, has your illness worsened over the years, do you think you need your Tramadol reviewing by your Doctor to see if you need something else to help you? The answer is really dependent on your replies to these points.

If you feel you are managing your Fibro well, that you have no sleep problems or other related issues, then don't worry. On the other hand, if you do have any of those problems mentioned above it would make sense to pop along to your GP to discuss how you are these days and what your concerns may be.

I hope that helps, the main issue is are you managing ok really. Take care.

Good to have you here with us! :)

ive been on the site for about a week and to be honest it has become an extra life line to me! i have a lot of friend and family support but the support ive had from people on here going though the same things has been amazing. ive had so many questions answered and made a few blogs (usually having a moan about something!) and always had a caring, sympathetic response.

welcome to the site and i hope you have as much success as ive had

:-)

Thanks what meds are you on x

in reply tovalentineheart

We're all on many different meds Valentineheart, we can't really compare those because we are all different and may respond differently, we may have more side effects etc. Most meds are covered and discussed in the forum, but it tends to be a bit trial and error trying lots of different pain relief, or tablets to help ease our fatigue and to help us sleep, or anti-depressants etc., until we find what suits us best and what works well.

If you are interested in a particular med take a browse through the Tags, there's usually lots of info there. You could also type the name of the med into the search bar at the top right of this page and messages discussing this med will appear when you click enter. Alternatively if you can't find what you're looking for, please feel free to ask in the forum at any time. Always happy to help where we can, take care. :)

Welcome Valentineheart.

I think you might need to bother your GP a bit more!

If your symptoms are severe, then insist on a referral to a rheumatologist. These guys have more experience with balancing medication for each individual patient, and I find that they are more open-minded and interested in your particular problems.

Good luck in finding more support for your fibro.

Hugs and stuff ... Moffy
