Hi I take 450mg of pregablin everyday. if I have a flair i can take an additional 150mg.

Hope this helps

Jax xx

JaxxL is quite right, the maximum daily dose would be 600 mg daily, taken in 2 - 3 divided doses.

Initially when first prescribed Pregabalin, the first dose is likely to be 105 mg daily, taken in 2 - 3 divided doses and then increased at one week intervals in steps of 150mg daily.

Pregabalin is also known as Lyrica® .

Please don't alter your dose in any way unless having discussed it with your Doctor first.

Have you tried px meds as in codeine or co-dydromol.

Tramadol can be given with lyrica but it is all about trial and seeing what helps each person. Xx

What other pain relief have you tried?

Do you do a combination or are you just on one kind of pain relief?

The trouble why we are not offered injections is because pain is widespread. But if the pain is so serious and you have had enough kerp persisting as injections can be used in a number of areas.

I have been pain management and as i was new at time i came away thinking no hope! Injections are the last thing they want to give along with surgery! Surgery works in % so not sure what your cause as i have cervical trouble so i would have injections in my central part of neck and they would hope this would spread to shoulders.

It can be given in hands, feet, back , knees . But down to cost they normally would wait.

I am holding off at moment best i can as much as days i think because of wrk driving and up/dwn some stairs and other things i prefer something with a more lasting effect than pills taken constantly.

Every time you walk away from GP another patient goes in and you go home suffering as come home with no relief.

With medication its not all about instant rief as some can take a long time to get into your system like weeks!!

I persisted with Lyrica. Took wks!! But despite some side affects it helps.

Amitrypiline can make you dopey but it is a nerve relaxant and Dr will take you off if bad reactions. I took them although hated being a zombie but in early start it helped and then gradually increased. But i had some bad reactions.

Itching they would give you something for that there is a few things.

It is all about trying things.

The suffering will make you depressed so then you will need anti depressant.

You can inbox if like. I no expert. Sometimes you try one thing and then add to it. Amitryptiline, neurontin, lyrica etc are for the nerves to stop them communicating and then you have your pain relief. It can be hard wrk but Dr's too can get a little frustrated as can only do so much to help with different treatments.

I will try get up links to give you an idea. I cannot do frim i phone though.

Ohh carol (pardon pun there sorry)

Codeine & paracetomol ? Various strengths

You can do 2 hrly say codeine at one and then paracetomol at 3 (eg)

This way your pain is not getting chance to stop . Some ppl take every 4 hr and after 2 your suffering.

So you would take as mentioned along with your lyrica.

(Plz note this is my experience and has medication has been given to me) i did also wrk in pharmacy for 8 yrs (not a pharmacist)

But it has helped my experience along the way.

Hi everyone and Thanks so much !!

I take 200mg a day along with l have read i think 600mg is maximum.

I have BHMS/ibs/gastro / beta blockers 160mg

I was given Tramadol bit have to take prochloparezine if tran as sickness, so codeine 60mg

I do prefer co-dydromol as co-proxomol not available now.

Its because the Lyrica is relatively new to me since last year, so wandered the strengths fm suffferers take and the effects as i find it helps but when have flares nothing wrks at all.

On steady days i can cope just as the lyrica is used for Epilepsy and seizures it only makes me wander the amount we are aloud as what is next on list if go to maximum??

Has anyone over time that it has helped what happens next :-/ xxx

So sorry to those it has no effect for and really do hope something helps.

Morphine injections i have had previously to a max of 5-10 mins and wears off dependant on pain.

I had nerves wrapped in screws so nothing helped.

This is manageable compared to that.

All experiences shared are a great help to understand how each individual copes.

Also had Neurontin ( made me ill) xxxxxxx

I would appreciate inboxes on how anyone copes with meds especially those that lyrica helps and how often up dosed as i seem to be going shorter terms now.

Instead of months.

Xxcazzie xxx hope i made sense lol
