Best of luck.

There was no medical for my blue badge. I had mine straight away with details of DLA award I think. Is the medical with your own doctor?

I had a doctor visit me . He was really informal and i felt quite at eaze . He did specialise in Fibro so he completely understood what i was saying ! He just asked me a few questions and did a walking test where he timed how long it took me to walk a certain distance . He told me at the end that i did qualify and would recieve my badge within 2 wks, i recieved it in 3 days !!!!!! good luck x

I had my Blue Badge medical just over a week ago. Went to a local Elderly peoples Respite home and saw the resident Physio who was the impartial assessor for the Council who issue the badges. She was lovely. And altho' she said I was not the 'normal' applicant as I had more trouble with the upper part of my body than the lower, she did all she could to coach me in the right answers to help with lower body problems too. Result? I received notification 3 days later to say I had been granted my Blue badge. Just waiting for it to arrive. I didn't think I had been sucsessful either nutty but you never know. The assessor is supposed to be impartial, so is no 'skin of their nose' if you get it or not. Hopefully you will be sucsessful too.X
