Dumfries House

Strangely this house is no where near Dumfries a better name would be Ayr House. So two hours away from where I live I arrived rather shattered to be greeted by lovely people putting their heart and soul into the house. A enchanting small House which enveloped you in its past and all that had gone before. It was rescued at the 11th hour by Prince Charles who joined the already passionate project to protect the house campaign. You can understand why it is a charming gentle house with stunning Chippendale furniture , beautiful ceilings and a romance abut it.the ghost whisper with a genteelness you cannot miss. I look forward to returning when the gardens are recovered so if you are near Ayr do go ! x gins

Sounds lovely and my type of place. My sister lives near Ayr so maybe one day I will go visit her lol.
