any 1 with dread locked hair and fibro?

randomly thinking away to myself at 3 in the morning

i have always loved the look of dreads, but i have also always loved my hair to be perfectly brushed an tidy at all times, so it never seemed like the option for me.

i have been struggling to brush my hair daily so went through the drastic option to have it cut short (shoulder legnth, which hasnt been that short for 17 years)

well i hate it! and i still dont manage to keep it as pristine as i want it, so was wondering if there was any 1 out there that has fibro an dreads!

was thinking it might be easier than having to brush my hair constantly, obvious its hard work to start them, an they will always need some basic care

any feedback would be greatly appriciated :)

Hi i have got long hair i had it so i could sit on it but had it cut to my bra strap earlier in the year and it is so much easier to look after now it is straight so just brush it in morning and that is it or just tie it back .

I have not had dread locks but a few years ago i went to the dominican republic and i had my hair plaited all over with beads at the end it took 8 hours to do and looked lovely but they said it could stay in for months but after 2 weeks i had to get it out s itt really hurt and my head itched as you can wash it but cant get right into your scalp and scrub it clean and i think you will find that it will get on your nerves i think they say it takes a month foir your hair o clean itself so i think they say itsmells but then gets past that so if you can handle all that you will be ok and also i think you have got to keep twisting them i am not sure so you may find they are a bit more work than you thought and also i dont know if you work but some places may not want you to take that look into the work place so you may want to check with them too

but good luck if you go for it i hope it looks good love diddle xxxx

I think dreads would be great sorry as far as i know dreads clean them selfs and dont smell .. you can find out how on the web so go for it whats the worse that can happen you can shave your head i enjoyed that ...

dreadlocks lock better with clean hair!

my hair was not quite to the bottom of my back, its now shoulder length, and i hate it!

when i was little i was badly bullied for looking like a boy, so have always grew my hair since!

i am always twidling my hair in the evening so cud sit an mat it then, its just mornings are so painful an ya cant leave the house without brushing ur hair, so was thinking dreads was a great idea! thought i wud try see if there was any 1 with fibro with them just to get that view
