I am so sorry I can sympathise my main fibro pain is in my chest had my heart checked so many times when I used to tell drs it was my usual fibro pain they ignored me and hooked me up to ECG machine only for it to turn out normal had it in my ribs and cartilage for 22 years that's where it started. My osteopath explained why it happens but he can't cure it either been suffering since April

Have you been to drs for a meds review or just to check it isn't something else. I call it fibro ribs but have been given a diagnosis from my dr recently it's actually called chostocondritis and you can use that as another illness when claiming cos its pain caused by fibro but isn't actually fibro .. If that makes sense.

Please get your pain checked out by your Doctor Trigger, it's not worth taking chances with chest pains even if you think you know what's causing it. Better to be safe than sorry.

I too suffer chostocondritis. Very painful indeed, and I think mine gets worse from sitting at my desk in work. I also find it difficult to lie on my right side as this is the most painful. I have cut my working week to four days and that has help massively with the fibro overall, although I still suffer from pain and fatigue. It's so easy to get down with all things we've got to deal with in a daily basis. Very gentle hugs to you Madhelen. xx

av been feeling really low and down today.went to the docs last week cause of my bad chest pain.mine goes through to my back then up in to my kneck and jaw,the doc changed my meds over and still feel the same,he is sending me for a scan of my abdo cause he thinks thats were all the pain is coming from,dont go for the scan till next month though,but do get it checked xx

I been complaining of severe chest pain for ages but my old doc sent me for athma checks and gave me inhalers even though i am not asthmatic.

Explained to new doc about it and she wants to refer me to get it checked out to make sure it isnt something else so i am hoping i can get it sorted

I miss breaths end up gasping a lot, but even when not doing this i am so breathless after any small thing i do and the pain is horrendous at times.

But it was certainly worth mentioning to a different doctor so I too would advise get it checked.

And my feet feel like burning constantly so i sympathise there too. xx

I am glad I am not the only chest pain sufferer it is very frightening first time it happens and even now after 22 years I still have the odd dash to the hospital cos the dr wants to make sure. When mine is really bad it goes straight through to my tenderest point on my back which I have injection in every 3 months osteo explained how it's related but as you say it hurts to breathe. If anyone has any unexplained chest pains - please get your pain checked out by your Doctor, it's not worth taking chances with chest pains even if you think you know what's causing it. Better to be safe than sorry.
