just wondered what tests youve all had to clarify fm

as ive had most scans ect, and havent been diagnosed yet

got a hosp appointment on monday with rumatoligist, is it a blood test?

or another test? thanks all

i had blood tests , my gp suffers fibro so it only took 2 weeks to diagnose , she is amazing xx

no as yet there is no blood test that confirms fm. its still only the trigger points and pain for more than 3mnths! we have a long way to go!

I have been to see no one other than my doctor who has constantly been doing blood tests to rule out everything. Like yourself I am mind baffled as was diagnosed first with ME and a few years later I attended the other doc in clinic and was inform I have Fibro when I mentioned to her, which is it, she just said , 'oh they are similar' and I was left not knowing.

well i was sent to see my rumetoligist about feeling ill, tired, very painful is skin even has the lightest squeeze, painful arms & legs,

back & shoulder pain ect ect, he then spotted that i have clubbed fingers & toes, which is a sign of lung cancer, so he sent me for every scan you can have bacsicaly , which showed no lung cancer, but that i have copds & emphesema in my lungs, 2 collapsed discs in my back, slight artheritis in my wrists, shoulder & knees, so i am currently under heart & chest clinic & ruemetoligy clinics, take steroid pumps daily, plus around 20 tabs a day for pain ect, but they dont really seem to work! im getting worse, feel so drained & tired all day long as have no energy, shooting pains up & down my legs, searing burning pains in my neck & back, and cant sleep!!! wake up a few times in the night, even though it takes me up to 2 hours to get to sleep! how does that work when you are so tired? also get really bad cramp in my legs every night!

so to be honest i think ive had this for years, but i think the doctor panicked when he noticed my fingers

what a life hey? still, im going to see him on monday, so will take a list of all my symtoms and show him, as you forget half of them when you get in there dont you? plus i cant consentrate on anything? bit brain dead i think lol
