Hi, Yes I do, although I don't choke. Its very painful. The clicking jaw is called TMJ and is part of fibro. But I had it long before the fibro.. Eating apples is the worst!

Hope this helps.

Lots of love

Me too!!! the choking drives me mad - and keep getting irritation in my throat - like I have to clear it all the time. I also have TMJ dysfunction (Temporo Mandibular Joint) and have had this for many years too. However, this annoys my daughter more than me as it grinds and clicks when I eat. I expect I have just got used to it. Would love to stop choking though :-)

hi there TMJ (temporomanidular joint dysfunction) is probably what it is Jaw ache in tendons and pain up side of head with /without headaches.... and the swolling thing sounds like sjorens syndrome maybe lack of saliva makes it harder to swallow..... just a suggestion that may help u understand.... :) m x

I recently had this, at the weekend I think, my son couldn't believe the noise my jaws made, and neither could I! I also choke on spittle or even bits of food, which I chew well. I have noticed the choking is increasing, the loud noisy jaw is new.

Perhaps we should start a band, like a barbers shop quartet, but with musical joints/tendons!! Can anyone think of a good name for the band??
