I was wondering if anybody elses hubby partner friend etc says anything similar to them.
I do'nt know how to take the comment, good saying...pat on the back (very gentley) or well done.?
How would you interpretate someone saying it to you.?

i still get annoyed , lol ,like i say he cant win either way
hi motzie, my hubby always comments on how I'm doing/done whether out socially or just day-to-day things. with honesty I can't say which context your hubby means the comment. For me personally the tone of a person voice, gesture often tells me how the comment is intended to be taken. Its obvious you are taking this comment to heart but confused as to the intent, perhaps you are able to ask your hubby if he is pleased how well you are doing on these occassions in a general way by putting in a question is there anything else he thinks you need to be aware of overdoing things.
hope you find the answer soon,
hugs poppy xx
I dont know as my husband just gives me a slap to make
me move faster and if that does not work he walks in
front of me with a bar of chocolate, that works.
Love chocolate

I think I'd take it as a compliment that means you coped well despite not always feeling well....
Rich says it to me sometimes but I know he means it in a good way and isn't being condescending ( I hope ! )
Hugs

Hi All,
To be honest I think our other halfs are damned if the do and damned if they don't say anything to us, this horrendous condition seems to make us react if strange ways, different emotions on the hour every hour, It's so hard trying to explain to others how it makes us feel day to day,
Just keep smiling and try to stay positive,
Hugs Lynn xxxx
Hi thanks to all for your thoughts...i sometimes feel liked alittle kid like you said Rosehip, the other way i take it is glad you managed it...not realy understanding how fibro affects us.
If i end up in bed with a flare up...he enevitably comes in and asks me whats for lunch or dinner! at the time i do take it to heart & feel guilty as i am unable to make it for him..
I have said before he dosent do well with sick people let alone a fibromite, even thou i have tried to explain fibro to him i dont think he understands.
I have asked him to read adout fms but he dosent bother. Sorry for the ramble on i am having a bad time just now & probably feeling sorry for myself...oh here come the tears..ahhh.
take care gentle hugs & thanks for being there...xxxxMary.
My wife loves dancing and at one time we both used to be on the floor all the time. On one holiday there was quite a competition between ourselves and another couple to be first on for every dance every night for a week. Sadly I can't dance any more and I felt quite guilty about not getting up but now my wife is having problems with her knees and can't dance much herself so I don't feel so bad !
