Hi rosehip at least they have turned you straight down. They proberly want to check that your gp has wrote that letter and that what your gp has to say is the same on that letter. They are real sneaky and want to turn people down with the slightest thing.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
hugs, kel xxxxx
i think so ,thats what happend to me anyway
Hey rosehip, gentle hugs.
It could be normal as they did the same to me when I applied for DLA a few years back. They did it each time I had to re-apply, after initially being turned down.
Love,
Carol xx
Hi Rosehip,
They done the same to me. Then they sent a Dr out to, then they turned me down. Got my appeal nxt monday.
But that might not happen to you. Good luck hun. Hug & love to you. Helen xx
hi yes imhad same letter 2 weeksd ago and said will hear within 8 weeks if not contact them so it is normal good luck love diddle x
If they do turn you down, remember you can appeal. and also ask for help completing the form. I did that and since it's an appeal they'll send somoene out to help you real quick. He came to my house. I don't speak "DLA", but the guy that helped me complete the form did.
The only thing is, it's not real obvious how to get this help. you call the same number that you use to make an appointment with the dla. Then explain that you can't get to their office because of mobility problems. when I told them that, they were very helpful! It went through with no problems.
just something to think about. The services are out there, so i think we all should take advantage of them!
wow, I can really ramble on, can't i lol
